This storyline with Olivia is bullshit. Simon is her half-brother, from a rapist father. As Stabler says, she doesn't even know him. And all the evidence pointed to him being a rapist. Olivia's life is literally chasing down and putting away rapists. Why the hell would she be sympathetic to Simon? Because he said he didn't do it? Basically every perp the show has ever showcased lies like that. Yes, it does end up that Simon was framed, but Olivia had no way of knowing that until near the end. Why would she give him the benefit of the doubt before then? He's basically a stranger to her. It makes no sense at all.
