I cried so much. It’s bad enough knowing what our government is doing to families at the border. It’s worse to see what that might look like. And let’s face it; it’s probably so much worse than they can show on network television.

I'm so glad this show has never shied away from controversial topics. This episode is no different and extremely relevant in today's political climate.

Horrible TDS episode.
Too obviously a stab at the Trump administration, about despicable things implemented by the Obama administration.

Important topic, but this kind of stuff always feels so overdone. Arresting the federal officer was just silly. Benson would probably get in quite a lot of trouble for doing that.

Rollins' character arc continues to make no sense. A single mother in her situation deciding to have yet another baby is baffling. I'm not saying you have to be married to have children or anything. But Rollins is a goddamn cop, working crazy cop hours, and she has no support network of any kind. She doesn't live near her family, nor is she on the best of terms with them. Having two children in that kind of living situation is honestly reckless and kind of stupid.
I know the true reason is that Kelli Giddish was pregnant (both times), so they wrote it into the show so she wouldn't have to leave early or that they would have to go out of their way to hide her pregnancy. But it's just so nonsensical and contrary to Rollins as a character.
