This was a mediocre episode. Spousal rape is a serious topic, as is the issue of cops "protecting their own" and seeing themselves as above the law. But by making the victim still in love with her spouse and wanting to recant and all of the other nonsense that happened, it really undercut the message it was going for.
The judge put a strange emphasis on the word defendant at the end of the episode, multiple times. Defend ANT.
This episode started very well, but it wasn't what I expected. I thought it was show how is possible a rape happens in a marriage situation and the development disappointed me a lot.
