The plot of this case is practically identical to the season 10 episode 'Stranger,' just with a few aspects changed around.
I get that they want to make good visuals but it is unrealistic seeing Carisi carrying the remains in his arms when that would be contaminating any evidence, it wouldn't happen that way.
