Crossovers are always so... underwhelming. If you've never watched the crossing-over show in question, then all of these characters are meaningless to you. If you have watched the show, then it's lackluster, because they have to provide character traits and context to the people that are unfamiliar, but it's a waste to you, since you already know all of that.
Anyways... is this Voight guy really a main character on his show?? His voice was rather grating to listen to, and he was only in like half of the episode. I can't imagine listening to that for extended periods of time. Like running gravel through a blender.
EDIT: Revisiting this episode 2 months later, after having begun watching the One Chicago shows. It's actually even weirder seeing the Chicago characters on SVU now. Before, they were basically just the same as any old one-off character you'd see on any episode of SVU, because I had no background with them. But now that I know who they are, it's strange seeing them in the SVU environment. They're so very out of place. But, man, I already kind of miss SVU. I wish I had more Law & Order to watch... The Chicago shows are alright, but I much prefer L&O. Something about the presentation and pace is just better to me.
I still think Voight's voice is hard to listen to. Also, now knowing that Voight is basically a crooked cop, there's no way Benson would want to work with him. They're so radically different.
Jeffrey Epstein
The dude who is making the movies, his name? Clinton. They specifically bring him up as having the same name as the president that plays the sax.
Then he gets killed in prison. Hmm sounds familiar.
Always wanted to know what if Chicago PD meets SVU, two completely oposite points of view ! One legal and the other not so much. Brilliant Dick Wolf !

I must admit that I prefer the chicago-way for this kind of criminals...
ps... the chicago fire episode was totally unnecessary
