Wow, intense ending to a season. An actual continuing thread like this in L&O is rare. Hah, Taub as a total sleazebag feels so off to me. Granted, Taub was kind of a sleaze himself, but a different kind than the one here. The "sex worker tries to seduce upstanding married man" trope is so fucking tired. I hope that part of this story is done with.
Now that we've been through a whole season without Stabler: yeah, the show is definitely missing him. It's not like it's bad, but Christopher Meloni brought a spark that the replacements don't quite have. I know Danny Pino only stays on for a handful of seasons, and Kelli Giddish is still on the show to date. I kind of wish it was the other way around... Rollins hasn't been doing it for me, but Amaro is decent.
