The subplot with the reporter was stupid as hell. I guess the point of it is to illustrate that even rape fantasies can be bad and unwanted, but it was so hamfisted. Why do they keep having Benson hook up with guys? It's just so unnecessary for this type of show. I'm glad they eventually grew out of this.
If you think the plot of this case is unrealistic, then you're completely wrong. I read about a case of this happening about a month ago. Can't believe it's still happening. This episode brought up this issue 21 years ago.
