I like this season's exploration of Goren's personal life. For like literally 3 or 4 straight seasons it wasn't like that. I think i remember in the first or second season we saw his brother for one episode, maybe his mother, i can't remember it was so many episodes ago. Then in this season or was it season 5 when they started to make the episodes more dramatic, you can tell in the camera work and music. I think it started with this season, and the episodes have been a little more unconventional in their storytelling. It's a mixed bag overall, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I do enjoy exploring more of the detectives personal life though. But this should have been done like SEASONS ago. Like a few episodes ago or something we hear Eames talk about how she used to have a husband. This must be like the FIRST time it's EVER mentioned in the whole show. It's so extremely late, and you could say better late than never, but i don't know exactly how to feel about it. I'm still enjoying the show though.
