I don't know how Trakt learned that this episode runs 41 minutes instead of the usual 30, but I'm impressed! Usually I just have to facepalm at the lack of per-episode metadata (because none of the external databases support it). Edit: Still shows as 30 minutes in dashboard graphs etc. Sigh… I got all excited.

7.1/10. Another good, but not necessarily great episode. I think everyone across media has said whatever is there is to say about the 2016 Presidential Election, so the riffs on Hillary rapping or Trump staying reserved felt pretty slight at this stage. That said, Oliver showing old clips of himself begging Trump to run and declaring that the Chicago Cubs would never win the world series was a very entertaining and self-deprecating illustration of his thesis that anything could happen which is why it was important to vote. And the interstitial about silly local news anchor behavior is a venerable if semi-lazy source of comedy on the show.

The main segment of Multi-Level Marketing companies didn’t do much for me, if only because it was mostly old news for me. There’s some good points as usual, and some pointing and laughing at the more ridiculous aspects of the industry, but it just didn’t really compel me. Nothing really wrong with it, just didn’t feel like the most incisive or illuminating segment the show’s done.
