Why do they all seem to hate Allison so much? Accusing someone who's clearly struggling of faking their illness doesn't help anyone, sometimes it takes hundreds of tests and inconclusive results to figure out what's happening with someone. Alternative medicine prays on people's fear and lack of intelligence. Wafting your hands around, chanting, crystals, drinking tea etc isn't going to save you.
