Beware the levels of emotional aggression inflicted by this first episode. This is top notch drama, so well curated and with such truth to it. Smells like acting Emmy here. Lock the door behind you too, it's going to hurt.
Omg show me the gay
One of the best and most epic love stories you will ever watch
Our stories matter, beyond our contexts, our pasts and presents, every human being has the right to a dignified life. Having said that, the technical aspects seem to me to remain in the background.
if you're into gratuitous graphic abundant gay sex scenes than this would be for you. Not recommended for the family at all.
5/10 maybe it’s me….
I got to episode 5 and dipped out….
I always say I’m not a prude, but I’m beginning to realise that I probably am!
Well acted, historically accurate and a compelling storyline, so why only 5/10?
It’s basically soft porn and it’s not needed and I’m not saying this because it’s a gay storyline I’d be the same if it was a heterosexual one, the scenes are there to titillate and probably shock people.
For me there’s never a need for sex scenes in anything, kissing and falling on to the bed is fine, cut to the obligatory lighting of a cigarette at the end lol…..
We just don’t need to see the so called act of sex and it’s this that put me off the show and switch off…..
Also, not that it matters, but yes I’m a man that happens to be gay as well.
an excellent sprawling story interwoven with history, queer culture and hot men
I can't get over how amazing this show is. The acting, the story, the chemistry between them. All while bringing awareness to important topics such as HIV/AIDS and the Lavender Scare. I would highly recommend watching!
Wow this is a powerful drama and it doesn't hold back on showing the nitty gritty. The juxtaposition of some of the scenes in the 80's showing the progress really hammers home how oppressed these men were in the earlier years that necessitated some of their decisions.
Pop, do you want maple syrup, or whipped cream?
Both, of course!
That may be the most innocent yet allusive question coming out of a kid's mouth.

Fellow Travelers is a piece that will not be recognized for its genius even in 2023. God knows that a hetero story of this caliber would have been a different case. I will riot if they don’t get those golden globes, because this is some of the best television I have ever seen.
The innocence Bailey brings to young Tim is an absolute joy to watch. This character fit him like a glove, it was a fantastic jump from his role in Bridgerton to witness, and I’m sure this performance will do his career a lot of good. The juxtaposition Matt adds to the relationship between Tim and Hawk of a deeply tortured, cynical soul is fascinating to watch unfold, and I still believe this might be Matt Bomer’s best work.
This story is beautiful and heart-wrenching, it doesn’t let you get sucked into a little gay fantasy, as much as you want to be, Marcus Hooks will make sure of that. Tim and Hawk will give you moments to breathe, until they don’t.
