This is like a thousand times darker than the original, I kinda dislike Stella so far, she was one of the best characters in the animated serie but here she's just a meh!
I'm so exhausted of this trope where the main character is supposed to be some kind of weird outcast, but actually she's just a normal person. Terra is the only actual outcast here, but I genuinely love her. She's so sweet and genuine. I think it only seems like she "talks too much" because Musa and Stella don't want to talk to her, but she really doesnt seem overly talkative to me at all, she's respectful and doesn't interrupt anyone. It does come off like she is trying a little too hard sometimes, but she grew up at this school and never had friends, so of course she wants people to like her.
I cant stand any of them xD
So i don't watch it :)
Strong beginning, really loving the story for what it is so far.
Of course I'll expect some teenage drama, but the characters are delightful so far. A group of girls, all different kinds of fairies? Sounds like the new (valkyrie-version) spice girls. And Harry Potter jokes right off the bat... proof that I'm truly old now ahaha.
My prediction for this show is that Stella and Bloom will become deeply BFFs, and Bloom is in truth some fairy princess of a long lost lineage, destined to save all the worlds from the burned ones et.al.
My hope is that they won't dive too much into teen drama, and won't rush the romance. I liked the start off with "Do you trust me" and "I just met you, but I might" kind of reply. Just please... no rush.
Bloom is SO annoying and no sense every time. Why she always act like that? being contradictory with everything.
And I didn't remember Terra as this insufferable person.
It's... fine
Don't understand why they put in the references to Harry Potter and Secret Garden, etc. These fairies are supposed to be from other worlds, how do they all know Earth pop culture?
The setting is confusing, how do they All know where California is, again, it's a huge universe. There are people on this planet who don't know where California and Switzerland are. At one point they said something that implied that California is not that far away when it's a completely different world??
Bloom's supposed to be this outcast yet has the social skills of a popular girl. Have the writers met a girl who doesn't leave her room except for an antique store?
I like the school architecture though and that specialists and fairies are in the same building.
The Changeling thing is an interesting idea, though I was kinda looking forward to seeing more adoptee kids that know they're adopted on screen, it's fine.
Why did they make Stella typycal unlikeable rich mean girl, AND WHY IS SKY STELLA'S EX NOOOO
Also that one part where a guy liked a person's older post on instagram accidentally and forgot that he can unlike it? It's a common thing in fiction but I find it ridiculous lmao

I'm not sure what to make of this. I think they may as well have just renamed all the characters rather than try to make whatever this is. That being said, I'm enjoying the darker aspects of this show, it's just a little hard trying to erase the cartoon from my mind as I was such a big fan of it when I was small! The casting is bizarre, and what on earth happened to Flora and Tecna! Definitely modernised, I hope it gets better.
