A brutal ending by all rights. A lot of sci fi or fantasy shows will do a time travel episode but most of those mishaps get wrapped up neatly at the end. Either the gang resets the timeline or we learn their visit was always meant to be a part of it. Here though? They really frell it up. To the point that getting it back to some normal level still results in their presence causing the massacre of innocent lives.
