this season was where i jumped ship. so many big swings and not a lot of it makes sense, not even in the fantastical, purposefully crazy way this show works. and when they miss, they miss bad. mostly it’s just boring? all these grand ideas and then they execute them in super bland ways like it’s giving snoozer.
i love the characters but i need more forward movement and consistency. also more screentime for aeryn. i love the character growth for her but leaning more into the love interest side of things flattens her a bit. she and john make sense and the chemistry is there but their story is uneven.
honestly the entire show is uneven but it’s really starting to show now like it’s unravelling at the seams and i don’t care to see where it goes.
