They completely nailed the look, feel and vibe of the games and it's fucking amazing.
homie, they got walton FUCKING goggins up in this bitch
Having been a die-hard fan of the video games I have high hopes (but low expectations) that this show will be awesome! I felt Silo had a very Fallout feel to them and if this is at least as good as Silo has been then this will be a winner!
Just binged the entire thing, I liked it personally and think they did a great job.
I totally enjoyed this class tv series
Watched 1st episode. It was just so boring. Poor acting plot didn’t make sense. Nothing really exciting to keep watchin. Literally felt asleep. Tv series these days aay dumb as!
What the hell is wrong with the comments here? Goddamn culture warriors "bravely" fighting against... I really don't know but keep up the great fight on trakt comments you morons
The first season was pretty good. Thankfully the show isn't holding out on all the mysteries for future seasons. Most of the big questions were answered by the finale with some teases for the future. Even if the show wasn't already renewed, I think I'd be mostly satisfied with what we have so far but let's see how the next season shapes up. Pretty good writing, great references to the games, good characters and acting, great sets honestly and decent production values. The power suits are probably the weak link in terms of looks and it's kind of a coin toss whether they look great or kinda shabby. There's enough here to at least look forward to the next season with how much has happened so far.
I've never played the Fallout games and as someone who doesn't know anything about the franchise I found this season very good, the series addresses several important points related to war and the domination of large corporations. And the way the story is told, alternating between past and present, everything fits together well, not to mention the arc of the main characters who are all interconnected, I can't forget the post-apocalyptic setting as I really enjoy this theme. It was all very well crafted, I really enjoyed it, I couldn't stop watching and I'm already looking forward to a second season.
This is, hands down, the most immersive adaptation of a video game I've ever watched.
I'd go so far as to say Fallout is in a league of its own. Because, unlike most other adaptations, it's an engrossing original story that expands the franchise's universe and fleshes out much of its lore.
The attention to details of the show is phenomenal. Fallout fans will instantly recognize faithful recreations of in-game elements, such as the Junk Jet, Pip-Boys, power armors and their UIs, Dogmeat's sound effects, just to name a few.
What an incredible fan service! Congratulations, Mr. Howard. This time, it really does "just work".
On the flipside, viewers who are not into the games may not appreciate the gore and dark humor that's quintessentially Fallout.
My Season 2 wishlist/predictions: Assaultrons, deathclaws, energy weapons, and a UFO crashing
Started off well but went downhill like a rollercoaster. Gave it an hour and it made no sense at all. Done.
0/10
Didn't play the games, seemed boring to me. We'll see how this show is going to be.
I'm glad I'm old and don't have too many year left.
Shallow as a puddle. Apart from audio and visuals the show falls short to convey the lore and unique setting of the Fallout universe.
horrible, complete garbage. barley able to watch first epsode.
Looks good, but that's it. I couldn't finish it. The most boring show I've come across in a while. It's such a drag and halfway through episode 3 I just turned it off and watched something good instead.
Here’s a one star for hiring racist, Zionists, idiot, genocide supporter, and excuse of a human being Michael Rapaport.
might be okay if you've played the games, but this was really boring.
watch silo instead(or wait for season 2 and then watch silo)
Back when series was announced I imagined how it would look like, and this is exactly that!
This is the best adaptation of a video game. If you compare to the next biggest one - Last Of Us, that one was about following game’s story and focusing on characters and adding lot more drama.
With Fallout it actually replays some game moments and certain inside jokes without looking like a game at all.
Great that it’s not made “safe for all audiences”. This is bold, making story about severed head, cutting fingers on-screen! Main character has no nose. All the rivers of blood and guts! And notice how while we see all that gore, but when the dog is getting shot the camera cuts away :)
There’s too much story to tell and it shows. Most of the time it feels like we are being shown only half, if not less than half of the story. It could have been made much longer without losing anything. And many great actors like Michael Rapoport and Matt Berry only have one scene. They easily could have their own episodes.
Flashbacks are so amazing, just unbelievable and exceeds all expectations.
Liking the first episode... Got all the games but never had time to play em....
Loving how the complete season dropped..
An the Elephant in The Room...
WHY
OH
WHY
ADVERTISING... don't I pay enough Prime...?
Yearly subscription will be cancelled like Disney Plus...
SHEESH... 2024... an they want to milk you dry...
RANT OVER...
:scream::scream:
I have just seen the first episode, and that is enough. This was awful. The acting, the story, the scenery. It also feels nothing like the games in it's "atmosphere", even with all its forced references.
But probably worst of all: it was boring.
One of the worst pilots I've ever seen. Steer clear of this one if you have any standard, even if you don't care about the games.
This ain't The Last of Us. If you haven't played the game, keep out. It is awfully boring and pointless.
Unfortunately I’m not a computer gamer, and thought I’d try this anyway. Turns out after just one episode I can see why I’m not a fan of. Absolute garbage.
I enjoyed it. They did a great job at making it feel like the games. Looking forward to more seasons.
season 2 when?!
I'm hoping after 2 years we get the following season or sooner after this year. And they can already make spinoffs about this world where we can follow different vault dwellers going outside in their respective vaults similar to the games and follow their own story outside surface. (having at least same quality of writers like this one) They must have good writers:nerd: and interesting storylines if they make spinoffs. :cowboy::sunglasses:
Awesome first season so far! 10/10 for me.
Loved this, the whole thing is a huge goof, you have to really relax and just let it take you, lol
i like to watch it but the singing ruins it for me
This is literally so bad for so many reasons (none of which being "woke"). Walton Goggins is the only thing good about this entire series, and even his character has severe issues - especially when he is supposed to be a GHOUL, and he still looks kind of too "pretty" for that and being in the wasteland for over 200 years!! The make-up/FX for this show is often times so awful, it makes it extremely difficult. Especially when there are so many amazing and talented artists out there (they clearly wanted to cut costs). - and just about everything else is so disappointing as to make me never try another video game adaptation for the rest of my life.
They spent pretty much all of the show focused on the stories of the people, their histories, and oh, worst of freaking ALL, ROMANCING TWO OF THE MAIN ONES, AND MAKING THEM KISSY KISSY GOOGOO EYES FOR IDK HOW LONG, but it's a gd waste of everyone's time and annoying as hell. Why is it they think the only way women will ever watch things like this is if we focus on relationships and romance? It's not necessary (and offensive).
Barely any of the most interesting things in the game even show up, or if they do, it's for such a short moment, you would think this show was about something else.
The awesome and interesting towns, the buildings, the cults, some of the crazy DLC stories (which potentially would have been incredibly good plot line for this). The hacking, the lockpicking, the mutants, and the many many other interesting creatures. Or idk... How about any of the other really cool shit that could have been incorporated? Nah! We waste so much time on pointless stuff.
I think they also failed on how they didn't exactly make things look as gritty as they should have. Not half as much. Things looked too nice. I was honestly so excited to see something good and was let down - and ya know, so many series and films have excelled at the gritty dystopian wasteland look, it is weird they couldn't at least do that much.
The first and 2nd Silent Hill movies will still be the only video game adaptations I've ever found any good, but maybe that's just me.
I'll keep watching for Goggins most likely. He is a master class of character acting - and rad
It would have been cool to see the screen of the pip-boy more, felt like missed oppurtunity
Edit: the humor in the game is also probably my favorite of any games other than the Portal games. Sadly i felt the entire show was so completely devoid of any of this that it became tedious to watch and quite disappointing. I have not been able to finish it at this point. I would rather watch other people play the game than watch this. :person_shrugging:♂
It felt fallout. I guess some people are complaining that it changes some cannon but I don't care. The look and feel plus the dark twists were classic fallout bs. They did a pretty good job.
Season 1 was a lot of fun. Well done and good humour. Not just the kind of humour many tv shows and movies force into the story, but actually funny. Haven’t played any of the games and still appreciated everything and did not need further explanations on how the world worked.
This television series is a strong one, serving as a reminder that the distinctions between "good" and "evil" are not as clear-cut as we often believe. The show's foreshadowing is also notable, subtly connecting past actions to present and future consequences in a way that is thought-provoking.
One aspect that stood out to me was the intricate power dynamics among characters, as they each strive to protect their own interests, leading to conflict and war. Through the character of Lucy, viewers are able to explore the moral implications of her choices, offering a fascinating look at how external circumstances can influence our decision-making and priorities.
Overall, this series is worth watching.
Probably the best video game adaptation I've seen. Those who are unfamiliar with the game will likely enjoy this series as well.
Some of the CGI was cheesy, but for the most part, this came off as a high budget show. They absolutely nailed the aesthetics and vibe of the Fallout games.
The acting is solid. The writing is decent, maybe not the best but certainly better than expected.
To the Fox "News" viewers in the comments who find a way to be outraged at everything...can you like, shut up and stop being mad for two seconds?
In conclusion, 9.5/10 rounded up to 10/10 because I want a Season 2, and also to outweigh some of the alt right review bombers.
offensively stupid and poorly written but still pretty fun despite that
oooohhhh wow that was so fucking good. Walton Goggins killed it, Ella Purnell KILLED it, Aaron Clifton Moten KILLED IT & RICO FROM HANNAH MONTANA (Moisés Arias) KILLLEDDDD IT.
Already excited for what season 2 will bring… I absolutely understand why Kyle Maclachlan was on the back burners of this season (definitely not the plot as a whole though) and I’m verryyyyy excited to see him become our next big B (Its also fun watching him on this at the same time as my ‘Twin Peaks’ Rewatch as I get back up to the point of ‘Twin Peaks: The Return’ that Ieft off on like a year or so ago with some friends.) And I really just love him sm.
Frances Turner was so so good! I hope we see more of her character and I also hope we see her get more roles after this, absolutely loved her.
I’ve seen Zach Cherry a lot since finishing ‘Severance’ for the first time and he never fails to make me laugh, yet feel so bad for his character when needed, love him! #Weg #IYKYK
I really couldn’t stop thinking about the BWAH BU BU BWAHHHH noises Johnny Pemberton does in superstore every time he’s on my screen, he was hilarious & is another character I hope we see more of in season 2.
loved the show definitely takes a bit of time to pick up on everything but once everything starts to click in your head it’s was a brain boggling show! so so good definitely recommend giving it a try!
4/10. Could've been a lot better. Unlikable characters except for Goggins. The story is there but it drags for so long. Acting is very poor. Things only got interesting midway through but they leave everything unanswered until the last episode, 2 thirds of which is just exposition because they had to resolve everything they've been teasing since 1 episode. Why?
I am not a video game head and I didn't know abou the game but the premise alone sells the show to me. I liked the scenery very much and every scene with Goggins is interesting. Can't say that about the rest.
This could've been a really great 4 1-hour episodes.
I know we're all thinking it ... Ella Parnell has the most gorgeous eyes!! Right up there with Bette Davis. Maybe they're not of much use during the apocalypse, but they're killer in a close-up.
Fucking great! Faithful, witty and violent
The first 7 minutes of E01 are my favourite cinematic moments of all time... Then you proceed to knock it out of the park over and over again. Absolutely fantastic, thank you. Please sir can I have some more?
It has no right to be that good for a game adaptation !
Well, I did say I'll give them a free 10 stars if I see at least one easter egg related to bugs, and 1 star if none.
I didn't see any so 1 star for Season 1. If they add one in Season 2, then they'll get a free 10 stars for it.
Come on. It's not Fallout if there are no bugs. I can think a lot of ways to insert those easter eggs without affecting the plot. You can even make some scenes and dialogues funny while at it
Now, before you cry about it, I rated each episode fairly.
I quite liked it. I've played one of the games, but I'm not a fan or anything. Fortunately, I think this flows pretty nicely, and you needn't have played them. Solid cast, humorous, nice cameos, and a pretty sweet production. Can't really complain; episode length mayyybe?. Didn't blow my dick off, but it's good fun.
I like how these live-action video game shows are all on different networks/platforms. Order of enjoyment, just cuz: Fallout(Prime), Twisted Metal(Peacock), Last of Us(HBO), Halo(Paramount+).
I watched the first episode. Watch it without any hesitation. I really know the game series but I've never played it. I mostly watched it from broadcasters. It has a very different subject and you should definitely watch it. Continue the series. Maybe when I watch all the episodes, I'll leave a comment here. I wish you all a good time.
Hope the Tunnel Snakes make an appearance, Tunnel Snakes rule :snake:
Not bad. Not great. The new video game shows have a similar formula, so this is on par with Twisted Metal.
OK, I'm correcting myself, I played the real Fallout, meaning 1 and 2. The other parts sucked so hard I dropped it almost immediately :joy:
I hope this isn’t bad. I will check back at the end of the season.
Amazing looks and just a little bit too much brutality - exactly my taste
I am almost at the end of the season 1 and I am yet to understand what i have been watching. I dont know how to classify the series
Hey Apple, this is how you do a vault show.
This turned out to be a lot more fun than I expected!
I was expecting a woke failure that disregarded the source material and broke lore in favor of "THE MESSAGE". I was so pleasantly surprised. The look and feel is all fallout 4. Some things changed and are somehow cannon now I guess but I will take it as it wasn't a bomb like Halo and most other hollywierd adaptations.
Fallout is just a damn good sci-fi series, regardless of the lore that already exists.
The series can stand on its own as a brilliant take on the inequities of survival, the constant evils of capitalism, and why you should always have a good dog by your side.
Wow! Easily of the best video game adaptations in awhile. Little bit of The Boys feel to it. Can't wait for the 2nd season!
Honestly an awesome series. Loved every minute of it as a fan of the games..
I nearly walked away after the first episode, because I was afraid every following episode would be equally horribly gruesomely violent and nothing else.
I was wrong. Turns into some excellent dystopian science fantasy that looks closely at some very real human characteristics. The acting is mostly film quality. I didn't appreciate the music as much, because it distracted me. And the characters! Many complex enough that you can't predict exactly how they'll react in a new situation. Real depth.
Now that I know where it's going, in going to go back and watch it again, something I rarely do.
Overall a good, but weird show. Recommended to me by a friend. A very good final episode of the season. We got a few answers but many questions remain.
Leaves some loose ends which set's up nicely for season 2. I thought the Ghoul was a psychopath, but his actions are perhaps for good reason, as he seems to know a lot about Vault Tec and what they did! If you like intrigue, weird etc, then I can recommend it. Well worth a watch with some patience. :thumbsup_tone1:
fan orientated, and i am a fan so i love it, i dont think non-fan will like it tho especially if they cbf doing research
also the ghoul is cecil? i couldnt tell until i searched up whhhaaaat
Absolutely loved it! Enjoyed every episode and every character! I've only ever played a small amount of the games, so knew the background but not the stories in depth. That didn't detract the enjoyment I had watching this through. Very much looking forward to the 2nd season. Long live The Ghoul  my very favourite character
truly laughable how they implement their cancerous agenda in to simply everything these days.
My girlfriend who never watches Fantasy or Science Fiction totally enjoyed this and so did I.
Acting was good, story line and overall plot was a good watch.
PS glad 404 never died ;)
It was okay-ish. Good show if you want to pass the time or a fan of games (I guess). As someone who has never played any Fallout game, this show really didn't convince me to go like "Heck yeah, I want to go explore the games now".
I really enjoyed it - better than a lot of stuff that has ben released lately. I played fallout a long timer ago, but this felt right at home. The atmosphere of the whole world was there. I liked the characters - was able to get invested in them, so when stuff happened, it mattered.
The representation of the T-60 armor was well done too. I'd have to really nitpick to find fault - it's not perfect - but at least enjoyable and a good distraction!

I'll start by saying I couldn't play the game because I'm terrified of apocalyptic scenarios. This adaptation, on the other hand, is amazing. I couldn't stop wanting to watch more. When I reached the end, I was aghast. Both from of the context and cliffhanging. I can't wait for seasons 2 and 3 and 4, etc. The genre bending and world/character building is reckless, and I love it. Humour sprinkled onto eccentric bloodshed and terror. The production was great, the soundtrack was fitting, the casting was perfect, and the story? Well, all I'll say is, it's a lot more realistic than it seems.
A well made game adaptation with no wokeism or other bs.
Can't find anything to complain about, and that's rare, especially that Amazon is behind it.
I'd only wish the plot was about 10% thicker for the runtime of the show.
Season 2 when?!
Picture Zootopia, now a wasteland post-nuclear fallout. Nobody recalls the old world. You're amazed by what you find, but every discovery could be your last. Todd cooked up "Absurdistan" with nukes, threw in Cyberpunk and retro elements, a touch of rust and added some violence just to be sure. (It just works!)
New Mad Max nailed it, and The Last of Us proved it's possible.
I get it, you've played Fallout in this millennium, or maybe not even that, and that's why you like it more than I do.
FINALLY ! A good and well done tv series that paid a homage to the game.
Walton Goggins shines in that role.
Amazing show, absolutely nailed the feeling and atmophere of the game. Can't wait for season 2.
One thing I'd like to know: who designed this weird poster for the series that's making it look like it's some wacky-ass sitcom? Because it looks like it was made by someone who had zero idea of either the franchise as a whole or the series itself. I'm not saying Fallout doesn't have its own brand of dark humour, but geez.
The Best series I watched in a long time, can't wait for season 2.
Very good show, and from what I heard respects the source material while adding onto it. It's also funny in its own unique way.
They not just exceeded expectations (I had none tbh) but they crushed it.
The vibe, the music, the visuals, the costume/set/weapon art is all exactly what you'd expect.
You don't need a full on review... Just watch it.
Great series, every episode is "on point", great setting, great season finale that ties up almost all the loose ends.
Someone really knows their craft.
They used every possible detail, even hacking screen! And about Shady Sands, Todd confirmed it was bombed just after the events of New Vegas.
Rappaport plays himself as Knight Titus, a coward @sshole who blames everything on someone else and believes himself better and more deserving than anyone else. His line "I'm bored and I want to shoot something" is somehow perfect in his cosplaying a hardened warrior who runs at the first sign of trouble, reminds me of the Zios settler colonizers he so much adores. All in all, the most realistic portrayal in his entire career, a coward bully who gets off in shooting but runs away at the slightest sign of resistance, he was born for this role.
Fallout - :heart:x8
Another great game adaptation. There is a lot to be explained still, and luckily we're getting at least a second season. Overall it's just a lot of fun to watch.
How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Regarless the comments from those who hates the video game adaptations in general or those saying to ignore the comments from haters or those with ultra positive ones like this is the best serie of all time...
Let's be honest... For a SF serie objectively speaking this is pretty bad. Plus this is an adaptation of a cult video game.
If you want some comparison elemenrs here are examples of great adaptations of video games: Arcane, Castlevania.
Show and season 1 rated a 9
Not a video gamer, but I would say this is a good show. Acting and storyline were great. Comedy parts where not bad either. I hope they have more season to come,
I haven't played the games, but for this series I'll give it a shot....
The performances at times I didn't like at all....
I loved the scenography, and the action scenes were good, although I would have liked to see more...
The plot (without having played the games), seems good to me and gives me the chance to continue, but I would like to expand it more...
The number of episodes, by duration are good, although there are some slow moments...
In general it is a good adaptation and I think I would watch other seasons, if they know how to carry the story well...
I would recommend it...
9/10
I'd like to see if Lucy makes Maximus' dick explode.
Fallout is somehow both the best “mystery” show — with multiple twists, clues, and reveals — but it’s also one of the funniest sci-fi shows in a long time.
Season 2 can’t come soon enough!
Really amazing show. I never got to play the games but this is making want to try them out. Either way, stoked for another season.
It finally seems like studios have learned how to adapt video games. Ignore the haters, the series is sensational.
I've never played the games but I absolutely loved this. if you like sci-fi, this is for you. Ignore the negative comments of the over thinkers, probably same people who never enjoyed cartoons because it's made up...it's a good show, it's supposed to be made up! Oh, and I can't wait for season 2.
Hiring Genocidal denier Islamophobe nazi Michael Rapaport was one of the worst decision they made in this whole series even when his screen time was for few awful seconds.
I haven’t played any of the Fallout games myself. However, I knew of them. Before starting to watch this show, I did a little bit of homework to familiarise myself with the Fallout lore. That paid off. I really enjoyed this first season. Finished watching the whole thing in a single afternoon.
I love post apocalyptic games that have a 1960s vibe to it. This show made me want to give Fallout 3 a try using my old PS3.
This TV series is surprisingly interesting! I give it a good watch for the apocalypse genre..:zombie:
I really hope for a second season because this was a real treat!
All the goofiness is too much front and center. Only the first and the last episode of the first season offer enough grittiness or at least seriousness to balance it. All the episodes in between feel like the creators still think video games are made for kids first.
The Brotherhood of Steel storyline is the one most responsible here. These characters in the show and the Brotherhood guys in the games have little in common. The Brotherhood's writing and casting in the show are almost unbearable at times.
Fallout is atompunk so yes, things are supposed to look goofy at times, but the games show them to us in grimmer tones nevertheless. The show does get many things right but all in all misses the mark a little. It's a shame.
I enjoyed this from beginning to end. The humour, action and 50's theme all worked for me. I've never played the games (Fallout Shelter on Android doesn't count) but that's not necessary to enjoy this show. 8/10
So which Fallout game are you guys going to replay after watching this?
I did NV last year so I might do 4 but gonna try to force myself to enjoy 1 and 2 (extremely hard for me to get into isometric RPG games).
ZERO MUTANTS IN THIS SEASON. MAYBE IN VEGAS.
I really like fallout and I really like how they realized it. But it’s boring as fuck.
As of this post, I just finished S01E01. There is still hope to see at least a single bug.
If I don't see one, I'm going to give it a 1 rating for failing to add a very funny easter egg for fans of the franchise. I mean, come on, can you call it Fallout without a single bug? :p
Hoping to see super mutants gonna leave bad comment if none
spent hrs in these games when i tell you hrs..lol i hope its a good adaptation like the last of us high hopes

Hopefully it won't randomly crash to the TV's home screen while watching.
