This was great. The first two episodes were exceptional, and so was the finale, just in a different light. It had a proper horror-like feel to it, a level of disturbing, a decent amount of instances that showcased that, as far as seeing is concerned. The story was quite simple but perhaps too much, and easy for one to follow along with, and with a hint of intricacy, I guess? I'm not entirely sure. That could very well have been a different, dormant feeling. There were a few moments that caught my attention but unlike most people, I don't consider them to be a big deal. The only issue I can think of that I had is that it was too short. At least, that's how it felt. Three episodes, all long, yet even then, it still felt short. Progress was barely made and felt nonexistent. Like it was a prologue to something bigger, something more exciting. Disappointment, a strong poison of dislike towards Steven Moffat, whatever, go ahead and feel very differently about this show. I'm expecting a lot of people to do just that. Most people probably have already. That's completely fine. Have at it. Personally, I don't understand it. It all seems pointless and drivel to me. I must be immune to the poison that is disliking someone or something so strongly that anything from that moment of origin onward that has the involvement of that someone or something, is automatically hated. People are too wishful, too particular, and not in a good way. Well, that's too bad. I feel sorry for those infected. Anyway, back on track, this was very entertaining. I liked it very much. Hate it, love it, be disappointed at it, perhaps only regarding certain aspects, that's cool. Go mad with your desires. Just don't go too far.
What a disappointment.
Episode 1 was fantastic. Episode 2 was still quite good but a bit boring. Episode 3 was an an absolute pile of shit. The Moffat special.
Just watch the first and second episodes and pretend it's a movie with a cliffhanger ending. Skip the last episode. Then it is brilliant.
If you are looking for the typical retelling of this well known fable. Don't bother. Otherwise come for a somewhat new view on the legend of Count Dracula.
Started out OK, but ended up quite terrible. An overall score of meh. Sad really. Was looking forward to this show. Not sure what went wrong.
Maybe the real Dracula is the friends we made along the way.
For a show that started off so promising but got so terrible as it went along. Thanks Steven Moffat.
However, I got to say that the actor who played Dracula, Claes Bang, did a great job, even though his Dracula is basically Benedict Cumberbatch 'Sherlock'.
I recommend this series it's short But Joyful
Oh for Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing! There, I've shown my age!!
When I heard Van Helsing was going to be a facety nun I thought I would give it a go. It tried so hard to be different from the usual Dracula films by including humour in it that it just became a rather poor spoof.
Episode One was interesting as we were getting to know the characters. Episode Two was just nonsense, and Episode Three made me cry with boredom and frustration.
4.30 hours of my life that I will never get back.
First two episodes were really enjoyable and brilliant, the third episode was the opposite. Such a shame.
The first two episodes were excellent. The third was so frustratingly horrible that I regret watching it at all.
Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and skip the third episode.
Ep 1 :thumbsup_tone4:
Ep 2 :thumbsup_tone4:
Ep 3  :pensive: :face_with_raised_eyebrow: :thumbsdown_tone4: 'what in the fresh hell was that?'
incredibly perfect, down to the ending.
yeahh... the third was disappointing as they all say, not enough to not make this journey worth it tho.
so delicious, luscious, dracula is so handsome, incredible acting by him... agatha is brutal. i literally have no complaints, none at all! like the first two episodes are so delicious that by the end you're like so satisfied you don't care for what happens, and the ending!
i'm in love, i wanted to cry for this great art. like it's becoming so rare to find gems like this really.
thank you creators <3 thank you steve moffat <3 :sob:
just amazing, all of it.
Don’t listen to everyone else the ending is exciting and the whole show is quite camp and dramatic horror.
If you’re looking for a old fashioned and direct adaptation of the book then this isn’t for you - some parts are set in the present time and the characters are all inspired by the originals. I found it a lot of fun guessing who they were gonna be based on their actions, before their names were revealed
We're all disappointed by the 3rd episode but I'm still thankful Dolly Wells got a lead role and absolutely crushed it
A sarcastic posthumanist Dracula won't be to everyone's taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed this unique take on the Count
Running a hefty 270 minutes (divided into three episodes of 90 minutes each), the series seeks to capture the tone of the original novel, if not necessarily the plot, whilst also attempting to rescue vampires from the angst-ridden millennial post-Twilight position in which they find themselves. Extremely funny in places, extremely disturbing in others, this is probably the best small screen adaptation since Philip Saville's superb Count Dracula (1979). There are some problems, and fans of the novel have taken especial (and not entirely unjustified) umbrage with the unexpected narrative shift in the last episode, but all in all, helped in no small part by an immense central performance, I thoroughly enjoyed this version.

I can respect the desire to bring something new to a very familiar story, but Drac's grody press-on nails are unforgivable.
This went from Wow, that first episode was great to Welp, the second was definitely not as good as the first all the way to Well, that third episode was complete dog shit.
First 2 episodes were so good, the third one fucking sucked and let the whole story down. The ending was incredibly disappointing as well.
Dracula is a bizarre BBC miniseries that re-envisions Bram Stoker’s literary classic. The story follows the vampire prince Dracula as he uses an attorney named Jonathan Harker to rejuvenate himself and trek to England to start a new life. The writers make several major changes to the original story (such as recasting Van Helsing as nun) but include most of the main characters and plot points in some way. The acting is serviceable, though unmemorable; not really distinguishing itself in the myriad of television and film incarnations of Stoker’s tale. Also, the tone seems to be mainly focused on the gore aspect, and not so much on the terror and adventure. A mediocre horror series, Dracula delivers some thrillers but is wholly forgettable.
High budget BBC mini series. so expect to be disappointed.
Boring, poor effects, rubbery props, stage show make-up (a dead ghoul looks fatter than he was when alive)
most of Dolly Wells' lines are like they were taken from a carry on movie.
An excellent mini-series from the makers of "Sherlock". The first two episodes are well told, exciting and in no way lengthy. At the end of the second episode there is a phenomenal "cliffhanger", which from my point of view was not continued well in the third and last episode. You can tell that the creators have run out of the great ideas of the first two episodes and so unfortunately no worthy end was found for the finale. But by and large a small masterpiece, it was great fun to watch the three episodes in one go.
I enjoyed the first episode a lot. The second episode got me thinking what the heck was going on, but it was still good. The third episode was pure trash.
Enjoyed the first episode; second was okay and the third was not that good
no such a thing as too romantic!!
Oh this show started to amazing! First two episodes were great and especially the second one ended in such a great way. Which made episode 3 start amazing as well.
BUT everything after the first maybe 10 minutes of the final episode is so forced and so not enjoyable! Only the very last 10 minutes are great again. It's just horrible how they suddenly tried to somehow target a younger audience but in my opinion completely failed. And I'm not old yet myself…
Great performance and photography in general, but the 3rd episode's story is just……
The show honors a lot the legacy and tone of Hammer films about Dracula. Theain actor is great. I have some mixed feelings, some things are very good, others are bad. It is worth the view I guess
A great take on a classic. I also loved the format of one season with long episodes. Highly recommended.
It was different. Trailer didn't hyped me up. First 30 mins and I knew it's not my cup of tea but oh boy I love my friend who suggested me to keep watching. After this 30 min the atmosphere of horror disappeared for me and then I started to be interested. The most interesting parts are the ridiculous things that will keep a vampire far from you. After 3rd episode I know now why was it like that but Ive never thought about such an explanation. Yet, the 2nd episode was for me the best. Ive never read Agatha Christie novels but it felt like I think the books make people feel :D I was so focused on finding the little things I was seriously unaware of the biggest ones. Not many things can surprise me nowadays. 3rd episode wasnt very interesting. In the wake of so many vampire stories I was merely watching to compare everything. The revealing of sth at the cemetery scene was interesting... but the ending. Im so sad it was shown in such haste and almost confusion. It lacked maybe only 5 mins but I was surprised and thats the point. Agatha is my animal spirit... I wish!
It was definitely different then what I was expecting from a Dracula story, I liked the way the 3rd episode ended but I also did not care much for it. The show was good just different from our normal vampire stories.
Sister Agatha - Adding comic relief to a very dark show, without an annoying character. <3 <3 <3
Unconventional, daring, fresh.
I, for one thought the mini series was great overall. Not every one is going to like it but that is to expect if you take a chance and try to do something new with a book that has had umpteen versions in tv,movie and theather and is 123 years old !
Exellent actors, good dialogue sometimes with a pinch. Terrific atmosphere.
A big thumbs up from me.
With that end this w´show was bad written the second episode was the best and of corse i only watchet it n´because of Dracula Claes Bang is a great actor :)
