Among a few key aspects that separate this show from other shows in the crime genre, the most important one is the character Gil Grissom. He brings a subtle and humane warmth so much needed amidst all coolness and manliness that make the other CSI shows fall flat. It brings contrast. The show lost a lot of appeal when his character left. I powered through two more seasons, and I will probably pick the other seasons up, but not nearly with the same anticipation.
Even after 14 years and about 300 episodes I'm still loving this show.

While on disability I made it my goal to watch all of the CSI's. The original series is the only one I could make through almost every episode. I liked it back in the day but stopped watching a few years in. It's amazing how well it has held up and it was fun watching the tech evolve. The only problem is the final 2 episodes are not included for collection here and when I found them elsewhere they had empty streams. Kind of frustrating.
The Best CSI Ever <3
If you like crime then this is sincerely the best show ever. I can't believe they concluded now, I will miss this for sure. It has been amazing to see how all the characters developed through the series.
it doesn't matter how much you watch this show and how many season they make it ,this show never gets boring definitely this show is one of the best shows in crime genre , and for whom like mystery
It is hard rating this because I have not watched it in years and how much I liked it changed as the characters changed...I used to love waaay back when the original guy was on the show (my memory is horrible I am terrible with names and shit)after they started making all of those changes and killed off the cute black guy I sort of stopped watching it but I keep saying I am goin to get back in to it again..Grissom was his name...anyway I just can't remember where I left off..

Nothing less than a decade-defining show! There's no doubt this is the absolute best crime drama ever made considering it's the one that started it all, setting the standard for everything that came after. I loved CSI for so many reasons but mainly because of how intense the cases always got, how gripping every episode was, and most of all how much the city itself made a huge impact on the different stories as if Las Vegas were part of the cast ... that's something amazing I haven't yet managed to find anywhere else in the genre. Needless to say, I binged my way through the seasons! I have to say I hated them for killing off Warrick, him being my favourite and all, but at least we got to see Greg up till the end #hilarious
