Cruel Summer 2021

This is surprisingly good - it does take a bit of time to follow the timeline jumps but well worth the effort.

It’s entertaining, but for some reason I just HATED Jeanette. Throughout the whole thing. She bothered me so much and I think they were trying to make it so we were rooting for her? Unsure. I never let off that she did it solely because I did not fuck with her. It gives pretty little liars vibes, so when you watch it, expect that level of show.

The first episode took away any desire to watch this show.

That ending effed me up. I love how you never know who to trust in this show up until the very end. They kept the intrigue up really well and though the format was a bit hard to follow sometimes in terms of timeline, I really enjoyed this show and couldn't stop watching.

I started watching this and just kept watching!

The first season of this show was a blast and then the second really dragged. Being a seasonal show with a different cast in each, I am not totally surprised that the second season did poorly enough to get cancelled. Likely should have been a one and done type of show, but Freeform will always try to milk any penny they can out of an IP.

Average Season Review: 7.75/10

Recommendation: Watch If You Need Content (For High School Thriller Fans)

Not surprised it got cancelled. Season 1 was great with Olivia Holt. Season 2 without her is bound to fail. Also the storyline of Season 2 was no is just so bad, this is why I'm not surprised. Blonde in it was kewl though.

Quite enjoyable. Watched it all in one go :) You can definitely "feel the Biel" with this one. It's kinda like The Sinner but for a younger audience.

[Prime Video] Although the central resolution is absurd, the way to unravel it is interesting, in a kind of matrioshka in which lies hide other lies. There are quite ridiculous plot twists (Annabelle), but it works the reflection on the obsession with social acceptance and the complex separation between being considered a victim or guilty, between accepting the guilt or living with it.

[Season 1] It has a good build-up but there are problems after that. It's entertaining throughout but it unravels near the end of the season.
