Flashback episode showing us the details of the original investigation, and filling in a lot of the blanks. But not all.
It’s a brave storytelling choice because there’s not quite enough story here for a full hour of TV. But it basically manages to work. Largely because Peter Capaldi is so bloody good as this character.
8/10
I think I get what the show runners are going for, but I don't think it's working. I loved episodes 2 and 3, but now I'm much less enamored with the show.
Let's see what the finale brings.

So much going on in this episode… I thought the story was going in one direction and now I just don’t know where the truth is.
