It was okay. Started out very weak, with an extremely poor CGI bird, poor dialogue with embarrassing attempts at imitating "youthspeak", and some very poorly thought out moments – "I can't find" after looking for something in one place? And wouldn't a 16-year-old, who is obsessive about the number of steps on a staircase, have figured out by now how many steps the stairs in their own home have? It's the little things that make you feel like very little care went into a script.
As the first episode went on, it didn't do too terrible of a job at the exposition. What saved it for me was the inappropriate, but so very believable reaction of the baby daddy's friend when he figured out what's going on. That's a brilliant scene and some great acting.
