Nigel’s mother when speaking of her son: “God did not bless me with another because perfection had already been achieved” :joy::joy:
Penelope: “Mama, might I go play with Eloise?”
Lady Featherington: “A lady does not play, Penelope.”
Penelope: “Forgive me, mama. Might I go promenade for suitors with Eloise?”
Lady Featherington: “Very well, then.”
SPOILERS ahead for non-book readers:
- So Marina’s love interest and father of her unborn baby is Georges Crane which is Sir Philip’s brother in the books. Now we know from the books as well that Marina was engaged to Georges before she ended up marrying Sir Philip. But she was never pregnant! Will she have a miscarriage upon learning of him passing away and will she end up marrying Sir Philip in this season?
- I think Anthony’s character so far is the farthest one from his character in the book.. Although he is very serious about his role as Viscount and is a total “big brother” in the books, he never once spoke unpleasantly to either his mother or his sister. But I think in the show, he will have one hell of a redemption arc when we finally get to his story
As much as i am rooting for Simon and Daphne, i shall not deny i love the friendship of Penelope and Eloise,
Also we love lady Danbury a lot.
My main observation is that this is Gossip Girl but set in Europe in the Victorian Era.
Also, in my blood definitely cracked me up love the music!!

This episode was much more interesting than the previous one, with the tension over Daphne would have to marry the unwanted suitor after all and with the Duke's backstory. His father's rejecting him and his treatment of his own son is definitely cruel and cannot be justified, it might have scarred him for life, though it seems to me that Simon's behaviour towards his dying father is not allright either, it is true that his father treated him horribly but when someone is dying it is time for forgiving instead of harsh words.
