The writers really underestimated how boring of a villain Pelant is.
His whole setup is way too conventient and unbelievable for stories.
The character is in no way intriguing nor intereseting, he appears to be less than one dimensional as a character.
I do not like comfortable twists coming out of nowhere just to lengthen a plot. Pelant is not so interesting as a character to carry him along.
Since Gormogon they had had no interesting long-term opponent in the series.
