9.5/10. What an episode! Everybody had something to do, everything was well-structured to where even little details like Tina's Spanish lessons or Louise's grabber were brought up organically later in the narrative, and good lord was it all so funny to boot. The star of the show was obviously Louise, and like her turn in the last new episode of the show (which was two months ago!) there's something infinitely endearing about this conniving, occasionally even diabolical kid feeling the twinge of her conscience (this time the mirror was a stoic Tina rather than a skating rink, which was hilarious in and of itself), and doing good for others at the cost of her own interests.
At the same time, there were so many little funny character beats for everyone and laugh-riot moments. Bob's desperate, doomed attempts to impress his archaeologist acquaintance, replete with Teddy's riotous attempts to make Bob jealous, were the kind of awkward character comedy that this show specializes in. But everything from Gene's rib roast fascination, to Tina's usual reluctance, to Gayle and Frond's perfectly-tuned craziness, to the amorous kleptomania of Xander, to the always glorious Linda and her wine-pushing, relationship advice-giving, crazy-eyed charms, hit on a comedic and character level. There was so much going on here, but all of it landed and was tied together nigh-perfectly. Brilliant episode from a brilliant show.
