Perfectly OK, but kind of an undercooked episode. The dynamic of the school kids hanging out together is always fun, and there was a nice story about Gene wanting to do something different and unique and believing in the unexpected while Louise was the skeptic, but the story generally felt like it was coasting on the usual to some degree. I liked that they gave everyone a motivation to be on the journey, from Tina's fortune chocolate to Jimmy Junior's jealousy, and it was nice to see Gene have his day, but there was just something missing here.
The B-story of Bob and Linda getting competitive back in the restaurant felt a little underdone as well. There's a tidy little story about Bob realizing he loves his wife even when they're both being super competitive, but the laughs just weren't there which is odd since I typically love the shenanigans back at the restaurant with the adults. Weaker episode all around.
