This was an uneven episode that averages out to a solid one. The Robocop and Big parodies didn't do much for me. I enjoy Gene's unrelenting Id from time-to-time, but his segments in these "three stories' episodes tend to be a little too much of it. And Louise's 'Big' parody had a little more bite to it, but the left turn into wolfman territory was a little odd and didn't provide much fodder for laughs. Mr. Fishoeder was the best part of both segments.

But Tina's mirror universe "Hugo's Hotdogs" segment was much more inspired, with lots of fun parallel universe gags and callbacks to the show's first episode. That segment was out there, but also down to earth, and encapsulates that weird, seemingly contradictory alchemy the show is able to put together at its best. And while the solution to Bob's thinning mustache is a little pat, the end ruminations on fate were sweet enough to tie everything together.

Tina: No one's meant for anyone.
