The Countess is always described as big and flamboyant, I was expecting her to be a full staged show in the series, but instead she is rather classy and discreet. I am not quite fond of that dramatic parting at the station, it felt rather unlike Poirot.

Gotta love the added moral complexity. Basically, we have feelings for each-other, but we are too different as people. I'll let you go, but you can't do what you do in this country. This is my territory.

I'd love to see a follow up to this someday, but i don't think there ever will.

Liked seeing Poirot so different in this episode. And at the beginning you get a reaffirmation of his disinterest in romantic matters. And yet, the episode goes on to show he does have interest. I would have liked much more dialogue between them though, building up the romance. I would have liked the case to be a bit more complicated too. Still, this was a nice deviation from the formula of the show. I want more episodes like this, and more episodes with moral complexity. It was also nice seeing Miss Lemon and Hastings get more scenes and do their own thing in this episode.
