absolutely perfect last season, this was a great show. season 4 was very well written, well acted and concluded perfectly. I will miss this show ;(
Great ending! Really loved the show!
Absolutely fantastic series finale. This show is severely underrated.
12 Monkeys ends its fantastic four-year run with its best season yet. A season in which love wins hate, free will over fate, all this gives the series, but especially James Cole, the correct ending, the one we would have chosen. It's a happy ending and it feels like a great victory after an eternal fight over time. It was an excellent trip Thanks
"Please...give us an ending."
I don't think that any show will ever be able to give us a better ending than this one just did, but I hope that they all try. Because this one was just phenomenal and hit on all of the timey-wimey and character points that the show has always been good at hitting. Everyone who needed a shot at redemption got it and nailed it. Well, except for Olivia, but we knew that all along, pretty much. (But even there, her bones served a purpose.) And perhaps most importantly, everyone got an ending. Or the beginnings of endings. And happy ones, at that.
Two nice touches that I really appreciated: (1) They didn't actually show Cassie hitting the Big Red Button, so we don't know for sure if she did. The results either way are similar, but also different in terms of where Cole ended up. I choose to believe that Cole ended up in the same new timeline as the "real" others. (2) As it clung by a thread to a tree limb, that red (!) leaf that the camera panned to so that it could lead us out of the show at the very end was perfectly symbolic of all living things having an ending. Cassie and Cole and the others have one life now. Free will over destiny. Do it right or go home. No do-overs. The way that it should be.
one of the greatest finales of all time.
I'm gonna miss the show a lot but I'm very happy and satisfied how did it end.
thank you for everyone who involved in making of the show ❤
I have waited for years for those final moments. And boy I would wait another four if I ever get satisfaction like that again. Honestly speechless that was amazing.
I've seen several finales over the past year of some of my regular shows, and though I've been disappointed that some of my shows ended, feeling like I lost friends or family since we all tend to develop bonds with characters who are in our lives for several years. Many of the finales were also disappointing as they either seemed rushed if a story line had to wrap quickly while trying to tie up loose ends, or that some of the shows may have run out of fresh ideas and had to solemnly wind down, again leaving an unsatisfied feeling after their conclusion. I let the first season of "12 Monkeys" come and go before jumping into the viewer-pool, but was pleased to discover that the show had depth and substance much greater than I had expected from the adaptation to a television series, and was of course a regular viewer after binging season 1. I thought that the finale, and the episodes preceding it were very well done, being able to put all the pieces together so by the end I truly felt as if all the questions were adequately answered, and the destinies of the characters were just how I wish so many of the other shows' finales should have been. I'm sad to see it go even though it had a comfortable run, not spoiling the show by trying to keep it going with the same ol' stuff just for the almighty buck. We fans like to be satisfied; we love stories; we don't particularly like our shows turning crappy because of non-fan corporate decision makers who push a show past it's expiration date. Great finale!
I know this has been concluded for almost a week, but one feaux-spoiler I usually tell people is that everybody dies. (I've told people in line to watch a movie just that as I left the theater, just because I knew they'd think I spoiled the movie only to discover I was full of it - it helps guide their expectations so they're taken by surprise when they reach the end of the film - of course unless everybody really did die, but I'll never tell.)
Loved it so much <3
Perfect conclusion to a perfect show
Using that song, there, was epic. Could have used a little bit more volume but who's nitpicking.
Also not quite sure how getting certain people back would work for the plan if those people should just happen to be shot before they would be able to go back but hey... who's nitpicking.
Also not sure how the ending worked but... who cares. This was a great show!
Wait a minute... If they always had the ability to raid Titan, why didn't they do it before? Sure, it took the help of West 7, but the Splinter Project used to have an army of its own (led by Marcus). The only thing they couldn't have done before is splinter the entire facility, which only served to add an element of surprise but otherwise did not affect the raid.
Where's Aaron?? Did she just dump him the moment she remembered? I'm guessing they couldn't or didn't want to cast the actor for some reason, but still. There was a time when Cassandra loved Aaron, allegedly.
Ugh, I was really hoping we'd get a finale without the "Where are you right now?" speech. It's been said so much that I literally rolled my eyes and said "Oh, my God" when it came up. No, I'm not warm next to someone I love. I'm alone in a cold bed wondering why the writers think this is such a powerful and memorable spiel.
Very predictable ending. I wish they'd had the nerve to keep Cole dead. This idea of time "owing" anyone is ridiculous when they're the ones who screwed up time in the first place...

Why for the love of everything that is holy did it take me until now to watch this final season. What an absolute incredible journey and fantastic end.
Beautiful and just about the perfect way to end the series.
One of the best endings I have ever seen.. just wauw!!
First class ending, I really enjoyed this season even more than 2nd/3rd together. Top sci-fi show that I will remember forever.
Fitting ending to a good show. Despite its many flaws, overstaying their welcome isn't one of them.
I'm disappointed that James never once made a grandma joke, not even a 'granny' remark in passing. Was that too much to ask?
Jennifer and Deacon, the best characters all though the end. Though Katarina also grew a lot these past two seasons.
epic episodie i ever see, this was amazing
I could never have asked for a better ending than this. I love it
Deacon >>> Jennifer >>> James >>> Katarina >>> Hannah >>> Ramse >>> Cassie
Now this is what you call a series finale!
What a finale. Amazing. One of the best
One of the best finale's of a tv show i've ever seen. Just utterly fantastic. What a special show.
What a tasteful finale this was! Beautiful!
Superb finale .
It looks like the director is the time .
I didn't like the finale at all. So all they needed to do was take over Titan using an "army" of friends from previous seasons? Why didn't they do this before? I was in for something epic and they delivered a lazy finale.

Perfect, fantastic series finale. I could not have imagined it any better.
