Big fan of this! Recommended.
'She-Devil' offers up a pretty simple story but it's one that is portrayed in an amusing and interesting manner. Meryl Streep, Roseanne Barr and Ed Begley Jr. all give top performances, in a film that lasts a brisk 90 or so minutes.
Streep and Barr are the particular standouts, I enjoyed them from the beginning to the end. Begley plays an asshole character very well, much different to my only previous experience if him as a nice guy in television's 'Better Call Saul' some 27 years after this. Also neat to see newbie-at-the-time Lori Tan Chinn appear, albeit minutely - always like seeing actors pop up randomly in their early movie roles.
The revenge plot is nothing original and although the moral should be timeless, the film was not very exciting. -1 for the weak roles of Streep and Bar.
This is my absolute favorite movie of all time.

I swear this would be 300 times more enjoyable if Roseanne wasn't such a terrible actress.
the story was funny and campy fun but every time "Ruth" shows on screen, she can't deliver a single line without sounding like she is reading the back of a cereal box. if we ignore that is a silly little comedy, fun to watch regardless.
