Let‘s be honest. We all watch this only because of Lindsay Lohan and she is definitely the star here. The story is lighthearted, fun and at times really goofy but this isn‘t a bad thing at all. Overall it won‘t win any prices but I wouldn‘t say it‘s a waste of time either.
I watched this for Lindsey Lohan. She does not suit these types of roles she repeatedly does. Not only was her acting unbelievable, as in un-believeable, the story was un-believeable. World peace? End world hunger? No. Marry a man who doesn't care for me. Not only did she find love within a day or two, but she single handedly made me lose hope for Netflix once again. I can imagine this story as a book, I don't know if it's a book but it needs to stay as a book because the directing, producing, writing, editing, acting, dialogue, comedy, characters, and so on was unimaginably bad. Why?Just why?
I only watched this because Lindsay Lohan is in it and is having a bit of a resurgence but even with that it's totally cringe, stupid and predictable.
Why did Jane Seymour need to be in this?
I don't know much about Saint Brigid, but the character in this movie is an icon!

It's not going to win any awards. The movie is just cute dumb fun. The main dude is an obnoxious asshole so I would have run away with the photographer, too...facts!
Your typical Harlequin / Hallmark romance. You know what happens before you watch it. Enjoyment when needed.

I loved this movie. I love everything with Lindsay. It’s not just her because she obviously picks movies that suit her as an actress and that’s what makes it great to watch :relieved:
story fits within 2 sentences maximum, and has been filmed so many times already. acting is meh. music is abysmal. well actually the use of the music is stupid. it leaves the times for the melody to just start, then cut. and it's very repetitive.
Nice pictures of Ireland, some nice music and... that's it. ;)

I only watched it cause I wanted to add to my 2024 films list and I myself had recently returned from an Irish Wedding, and it looked like places I had been and stayed at in my enjoyable time over there.
But yeah this film is bog standard romance with the entire plot laid out from minute 1. Girl likes guy, girl doesn't get guy, girl gets wish, girl realises that guy she wants isn't for her. There's no deviation from the generic plot at all. Lohan is okay and so are the two leads but there's nothing else for them at all to do.
A bad St. Patrick's day watch and rom-com as well
