I’ll be generous and give it a 6 solely for Maggie Q. She wasn’t given much to work with but she did what she could. If I were Tess, I would have left them there. Such ungrateful “friends”.
I watched this movie because I saw someone in the comments give it a 10! My expectations were high... I expected a high quality movie, an amazing story and great acting. Well what I can say is... It had non of it! Ugh... My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined!

One of those movies where people are so stupid and frustrating that you just end up wanting everyone to die.
This could have been really good. The casting director did a bad job casting the b-grade female ensemble.
It's a waste of time. Nonsense.
Just not good. Bad acting, bad plot, terrible writing, did AI write this script? Predictable end that you just don't care about. And she lies in the end... Why again? Giant waste of time.

Essentially the Maggie Q show. She's very very good and the rest is quite poor for most. Some solid kills, some eye rolling thriller/horror tropes, some unnecessary family melodrama , and honestly some decent entertainment in the final third. Maggie is an 8.5. The rest is roughly a 3. We'll call it a 5.5 overall. Don't regret watching it, but most won't feel the need to seek it out unless fans of Maggie's.
It's the beginning of August and there's a writer's strike, so it's a nights entertainment.
Throw away B movie. Nothing new, totally forgettable.
